i believe a recap is in order

Christmas was quiet, slightly lonely and all around uneventful.
Though i did get what i wanted.
there is sonething to say for specific instructions i suppose

New years eve
was probably the best new years i have ever had
since the years when sitting in your friends basement listening to her parents get drunk was more then satisfactory
the party was hot
the people were fun and festive
and then there was the boy
he started chatting me up in the bathroom line
but disppeared when i came back out
so seeing as how one of my resolutions is to be a bolder individual
i sought him out
and used my best moves
(yeah right)
it has been a very long time since i have felt that kind of
instant connection
with another person
let alone a boy
we had an amazing night
dancing
talking
smiling foolishly at each other
turns out he lives in edmonton though
balls indeed
after no fewer then ten fervent promises to call
we said out goodbyes
(well, it took maybe 3 or 4 times to actually get me out the door)
and i headed home to cold pizza and dreams of long haired boys with nose rings and a wish to learn to dance

and yes he did call

we have been texting back and forth since that night
and luckily i will be heading up there in a few weeks
and several more times after.

also
i learned to play poker
kicked ass for awhile
then promptly lost everything

changed my own car battery
sucsessfully no less

and heard back from the CDTA
accepting my application for membership

things are looking good for 2008 kids.

and yes
i kissed him
